Immutable backups are copies that cannot be modified, encrypted, or deleted, even by administrators or ransomware. This matters because modern ransomware specifically targets backup systems. With immutable storage, your recovery copies remain intact and available even during a full-scale ransomware attack.

Yes. Microsoft’s native retention policies are not a backup solution. We deploy third-party backup for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams that provides full point-in-time recovery independent of Microsoft’s infrastructure. This protects against accidental deletion, ransomware, and compliance retention requirements.

RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how quickly you need to be back online after a disaster. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data loss you can tolerate, the time between your last backup and the incident. We define these targets for each critical system based on your business requirements and design the BDR solution to meet them.
