About This Role

BALANCED+ is looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and manage cloud environments for our growing client base across Toronto and the GTA. You will work across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions for mid-market Canadian businesses.

This role requires someone who can operate independently on complex projects, lead client-facing engagements, and maintain the documentation and processes that keep our operations consistent. Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions for managed clients
Manage multi-tenant cloud environments across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms including Azure and AWS
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools
Build and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
Implement and enforce identity and access management (IAM) and cloud security best practices
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using observability platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues across client environments
Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization through right-sizing and reserved capacity management
Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Collaborate with security, networking, and service delivery teams on cross-functional projects
Maintain accurate documentation for client infrastructure, configurations, and runbooks
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure; AWS and GCP experience is an asset
Proven hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform or equivalent)
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to work independently under pressure
Valid driver's licence; occasional client site visits are required (travel reimbursed)

Nice to Have

Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification
Experience in a managed services or multi-client MSP environment
Familiarity with Fortinet cloud security solutions or similar NGFW platforms
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Azure Monitor, Zabbix, or similar)
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST)
