Sales Account Manager / Project Manager

About This Role

BALANCED+ is looking for a Sales Account Manager / Project Manager to own client relationships, grow existing accounts, and bring on new business. You’ll work alongside our technical and sales teams to scope solutions, manage delivery, and keep clients confident in the services we provide.

This is a consultative role, you’re the main point of contact for a portfolio of mid-market clients, and you’ll be expected to spot opportunities, manage expectations, and drive renewals. A good fit for someone with 1–3 years of experience in IT sales or account management who wants to grow in a fast-moving MSP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client accounts across the full lifecycle, from initial scoping through delivery and renewal
  • Qualify and develop new business opportunities in managed IT, cybersecurity, and networking
  • Prepare project budgets, track costs, and coordinate resource allocation throughout engagements
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers within client organizations
  • Lead discovery conversations and collaborate with technical teams to develop and present tailored solutions
  • Act as first escalation point for client concerns and coordinate resolution internally
  • Maintain accurate client records and pipeline activity in the CRM
  • Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and lead generation campaigns alongside the technical team

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in account management, sales, or project management in a technical or IT environment
  • Proficient with CRM platforms and LinkedIn for pipeline and relationship management
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to present to clients confidently
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of hitting targets
  • Working knowledge of IT managed services, professional services, or cybersecurity sales
  • PMP certification or demonstrated project management experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's licence, client site visits are required (travel reimbursed)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with security vendors: Fortinet, Tenable, Sophos, TrendMicro, or Microsoft
  • Conceptual understanding of cybersecurity: SIEM, ZTNA, SASE, MFA, MDR, or phishing simulation
  • Experience facilitating technical discovery or scoping sessions with SE support
