About This Role
BALANCED+ is seeking a visionary Managing Director to lead our firm and drive our continued growth and success. As Managing Director, you’ll be the driving force behind our strategic vision, operational excellence, and client-centric approach. You’ll combine deep IT consulting expertise with strong business development acumen and exceptional leadership skills to guide a high-performing team through our next phase of expansion.
This is an executive leadership role for someone with 9+ years of proven success in senior IT consulting or business strategy positions. You’ll work directly with major clients, lead strategic initiatives, manage our P&L, and inspire a team of talented professionals. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to achieve growth and profitability objectives, identifying emerging market trends and opportunities
- Spearhead business development efforts, building strong relationships with key clients and partners, leading proposal development and presentations
- Oversee day-to-day operations, implementing robust project management methodologies and quality assurance processes
- Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and P&L responsibility
- Cultivate executive-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader on technology and business strategy
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Represent the company as a thought leader through speaking engagements, publishing, and participation in industry events
Qualifications
- 9+ years of proven experience in senior leadership roles within IT consulting, business strategy, or related field
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent education + experience)
- Demonstrated track record of driving growth, profitability, and revenue generation
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company vision and mission
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent
- Exceptional client relationship management and networking skills at the executive level
- Strong financial management expertise, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, and contract negotiation
- Deep understanding of technology trends, particularly in cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI
Nice to Have
- MBA or other advanced business qualification
- Board experience or C-suite background (CEO, COO, CFO)
- Experience managing multi-office or international operations
- Industry certifications in relevant areas
