About This Role
BALANCED+ is seeking a Junior Software Developer to assist in ongoing software development projects across diverse business environments. You’ll get to work with experienced developers and IT professionals, learn industry tools like Maximizer CRM, and help improve business operations for our clients.
This is a great role for a recent graduate or junior developer who wants to grow their skills in a supportive environment. You’ll assist with requirements gathering, code changes, software releases, and technical support. If you have a degree in software development or computer science, solid fundamentals in .NET and PHP development, and a positive attitude toward learning, we’d like to hear from you. International graduates and newcomers are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior IT managers and engineers in delivering complex software projects
- Perform essential requirements gathering, business process analysis, and needs assessment
- Assess and implement software code change requests
- Prepare and release new software versions
- Provide technical support to clients via phone and email to triage software problems
- Continuously learn and improve personal IT knowledge and technical skills
Qualifications
- University or college degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (or actively in progress)
- Basic knowledge of PC architecture and computer networking
- Proficiency in Microsoft .NET development platform (Vue.js, Vuetify front-end experience is a plus)
- Experience with PHP platform frameworks (CakePHP, Nuxt, Node.js, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL and MySQL database queries and procedures
- Strong HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, and jQuery skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently
- Good command of English language, both oral and written
- Positive attitude toward learning new technologies and working in diverse environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with Maximizer CRM or similar customer relationship management platforms
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Basic understanding of API development and integration
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Previous internship or co-op experience in software development
